Reason

I read Justine Larbalestier's Magic or Madness last night, and because I love the story, I spent the afternoon painting Reason Cansino.  I wanted to do something a bit surreal.  It all started with the ammonite--a sketch of a girl's profile and an ammonite, and then kind of grew into what I have here, three bursts of fire, five bright points of light on her face and hair, five straight lines. If you haven't read Magic or Madness or Magic Lessons, I recommend them highly.  The third in the series, Magic's Child will be out in March.
