Kassandra speedpaint

About fifteen minutes goofing in ArtRage this morning.  I ended up sketching five or six figures in motion for some upcoming comic pages. Here's one.

Seaborn character study

I’m reworking a bunch of the Saltwater Witch graphical stuff—reformatting for printed pages and a bunch of drawing and painting to go along with it, and I came across one of my original character studies for the opening scene to my book Seaborn. Sort of an evil Kassandra. Okay, I did play around with it a bit, cleaned up some lines and brightened up the background.

I'm planning to wrap up things tomorrow for the Boskone Art Show next weekend (Boskone 49, February 17-19, 2012, Boston Westin Waterfront), and when I do I will post my layout with the pieces that will be on the wall.  My theme this year is smaller works--so this one won't be in the show, but I had prints made of a couple cropped sections of "Seaborn Battle" and those will be in the show.

 

 

Trade Paper Covers for the Seaborn Books

They're not all the way there yet in terms of layout and some of the back cover copy, but these are pretty close to what the trade paperback (~6x9) edition of the three Seaborn books will look like.

The Wreath of Poseidon

This will be available soon! The Wreath of Poseidon is basically Saltwater Witch remixed by my daughter Chloe and I.  This version of the story is in 3rd person (Saltwater Witch is in 1st), and this version is a bit longer, contains more story, including some scenes cut from the original. We went back to the original 3rd person story I wrote in 2003 with some help from a nine-year-old Chloe (She's seventeen now).        

Seaborn Battle

I spent another four or five hours last night finishing up this one.  I'm still doing a bit of detail work, but this is pretty much done.
